Olivia Grabacki is an associate on the tax and general business practice teams at Miller Nash Graham & Dunn LLP. She advises clients across multiple industries with entity choice and formation; state and local property taxation matters, and matters affecting formation, expansion, operation, and dissolution of their businesses. She also regularly drafts and reviews a wide range of general business contracts, including service agreements, purchase agreements, lease agreements, and joint venture agreements. Olivia regularly assists clients in the emerging cannabis industry to navigate regulatory compliance in Oregon and Washington, which includes advising on tax considerations an licensing issues specific to the industry and providing guidance on day-to-day operations. Additionally, she has helped numerous nonprofits through the application process to achieve tax-exempt status at the federal and state levels.
Having earned her J.D. and an Environmental and Natural Resources Law Certificate from Lewis & Clark Law School, Olivia has also assisted Miller Nash Graham & Dunn's environmental practice group with federal and state environmental compliance matters in areas such as hazardous waste releases, emissions permitting, and environmental insurance disputes. She has an interest in, and relevant experience with, the natural resources, energy, and renewable energy industries as well.
During law school, Olivia served as an associate editor for the Environmental Law Review, and earned the Outstanding Associate Editor award. She also served as a contracts teaching fellow, as a peer mentor, and as an extern for the Western Resources Legal Center. In 201 and 2016, Olivia worked as a law clerk for the Washington County District Attorney’s Office.
