Justin Wagner


With previous work experience as both an electrical engineer and a software developer in several different industries, Justin has a diverse background in many computer-related technologies as well as practical experience in a wide variety of business management approaches. Justin leverages this broad background to effectively relate with each client’s in-house counsel and engineers in developing successful intellectual property strategies to ensure that their innovations are well-protected.

Justin’s practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications, primarily in various types of computer, hardware, and software-related arts. Justin has extensive experience with patent prosecution in areas of hardware (such as electrical systems, devices, and components) and software (particularly enterprise software). Justin also advises clients on matters such as patentability, validity, and infringement.

During his time as an engineer at Bell+Howell, Justin developed a multi-feed page detector, designed various entry and exit sensor assemblies, and prepared several circuit board layouts for a brand-new line of high-volume document scanners. As a software developer at two of the top management consulting firms Accenture and Ernst & Young, Justin performed detailed platform assessments and implemented several types of billing and customer service systems for clients in a variety of industries.
