Gary chairs the firm's Construction Law Team and has more than 30 years' experience representing all segments of the design and construction industry in the Northwest. Since joining the firm in 1988, Gary has focused his practice on commercial construction litigation, negotiation of design and construction contracts, insurance recovery, public contracting, and strategic options for construction projects. He has represented major players in the healthcare, high-technology, hospitality, and education worlds for commercial projects large and small. Gary regularly negotiates design, construction, construction management, and related contracts, in addition to litigating delay, payment and priority, and defect claims. Gary's career has focused on the construction of schools, medical facilities, affordable housing, distribution centers, resorts, and large commercial projects for both up-front structuring of contract relationships and litigation of claims, both during and after construction.
Gary has been selected for inclusion in Oregon Super Lawyers magazine every year since 2007 and is listed in Best Lawyers in America for Construction Litigation. Gary is also rated AV® Preeminent™ by Martindale-Hubbell®.
