Miller Nash Graham & Dunn LLP partners Doug Berry, Dan Oates, and Josh Piper have been selected for inclusion in the 2019 Franchise edition of Who’s Who Legal.

Who’s Who Legal identifies world’s leading lawyers through an independent research process with clients and experts in the sector. Nominees have been selected based upon comprehensive survey work with both general counsel and private practice lawyers worldwide.

About Doug Berry
For over twenty five years, Berry has served as a trial lawyer representing franchisors and suppliers in connection with disputes with their franchisees and distributors. In recent years, Berry has also devoted considerable time providing antitrust and distribution counseling, and has assisted several clients with the evaluation and acquisition of other franchising companies.

About Dan Oates
Oates is a partner with the Seattle office of Miller Nash Graham & Dunn LLP, focusing his practice on franchising and distribution litigation. Oates’s litigation experience includes disputes ranging from pre-sale disclosure violations and fraud, to breach of contract claims, to post-sale relationship disputes (arising under contract or by statute). Oates has served on the editorial board of the ABA’s Franchise Law Journal since 2013, and currently serves as the editor-in-chief. He is a frequent writer and speaker on subjects relating to franchising.

About Josh Piper
Piper helps domestic and international businesses navigate the complex and diverse issues that arise in franchising, licensing, and distribution. He works with both new and established franchise systems in developing their franchise programs, preparing and improving their franchise documents, ongoing regulatory compliance, and franchise relationship issues. Piper also helps franchisors and other companies with a broad range of related business transactions and commercial issues, including advertising compliance; contests, sweepstakes, and loyalty programs; outsourcing arrangements; and mergers and acquisitions. He is a recurring speaker and author on franchise and distribution topics, and is active in the International Franchise Association and ABA Forum on Franchising.
